At Brandbank, we believe in creating social change, assisting disadvantaged and marginalised communities and, above all, making a positive contribution to society. We support a range of charities and not-for-profit organisations that address important issues in a tangible way, providing funds that help deliver inspiration, education, care, dignity and support where it’s needed most. As thoughtful global citizens, our aim is to break down barriers, foster inclusion and help the world realise that even the smallest individual steps can combine to create something truly great. By shopping with us, you help make a positive – and practical – difference to people’s lives.
Some of our long-standing community partners and initiatives include:
Sacred Heart Mission
Since opening its doors in St Kilda to share a meal with the most vulnerable 38 years ago, Sacred Heart Mission has evolved into an innovative, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping thousands of people to break the cycle of homelessness every year. Brandbank shares their desire to create a fairer, more compassionate Australian landscape. We also consider the full life cycle of our pieces, with a view to reuse, regenerate and recycle, which is why we created the Heart-to-Heart program. This valuable initiative gives Seed Heritage customers the opportunity to donate quality, pre-loved items direct to Sacred Heart Mission op shops, simply by adding a complimentary pre-paid Australia Post satchel to their online order. In addition to giving Seed Heritage pieces a second home – and raising much-needed funds – Heart to Heart also supports our wider company quest for a more sustainable future by reducing waste and landfill, while helping those experiencing hardship, disadvantage and social isolation at the same time.
The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation
Literacy is freedom. It’s the key to accessing education, employment and participating fully in society. That’s why, since 1999, the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (ALNF) has been dedicated to raising literacy standards. Their vital work provides reading, writing and communication skills, with initiatives that cover early language and literacy training, refugee action and support, along with help for children living in rural and remote areas. Most recently, Brandbank has been working to bring hope and confidence to individuals and their families by donating funds that support a range of core literacy programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Enter Read with Seed. By simply purchasing a book bag online – or at selected Seed Heritage stores – you will be helping to write a bright future for an Indigenous child. Available in two unique designs, each bag comes with a pack of five coloured permanent markers to personalise your bag and make it your own. All proceeds will be donated directly to ALNF to support the ongoing delivery of education programs.

From flying kids to the moon, dream trips to Disneyland, or the chance to meet their favourite footy team, every wish is individual and designed to play an integral part in each child’s medical treatment. In 2018 and 2019, Seed Heritage partnered with Make A Wish at Christmas to help grant more life-changing moments to children in need. Over just two years, thanks to our generous customers, this one simple campaign raised more than $150,000 through point-of-sale donations in exchange for gift-wrapping services. As a proud Australian company, Brandbank will continue to honour its commitment to giving back, throughout 2020 and beyond.

As gold medallist Catherine Freeman OAM said, "Sport plays a major role in strengthening the morale and esteem of all Australians in a way that nothing else can." Seed Heritage acknowledges the sacrifice and dedication of our elite athletes as they prepare to represent their country and achieve greatness, both on and off the sporting field.
